The title Dobry Wzór (Good Design), which since 1993 is awarded annually by a jury of the Institute of Industrial Design in Poland, was received this year by mmcité. Dobry Wzór is a nationwide competition for the best products and services offered on the Polish market.
mmcité was nominated for the short-list in the category of public space for its Elias bollard with LED lighting and for the Sinus multifunctional protective grid for trees designed by Roman Vrtiška, which won the main prize in the Dobry Wzór competition 2011 among a strong field of contenders. In its selection of the Sinus protective grid, the jury emphasized that the grille provides not only a way to protect greenery in public space but also offers a combination of seating elements. Sinus is no ordinary “piece of urban furniture” – it protects trees, it provides comfort in public spaces, and, finally, it stands out with its fresh design.
