mmcité wins the Czech Grand Design 2012!

On 16 March 2013 the winners of the annual awards of the Academy of Design of the Czech Republic Czech Grand Design 2012 were announced. The jury was composed of many active curators, theoreticians and journalists from the Czech and international design scene.
The academy chose winners in the following categories: Designer of the Year – Prize of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, Fashion Designer of the Year, Jewellery Designer of the Year, Graphic Designer of the Year, Photographer of the Year, Showroom of the Year, Producer of the Year – Prize of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, and Discovery of the Year – Prize of Preciosa.

We won the award as the Producer of the Year – Prize of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic for the Urban Islands collection of street furniture (designed by Lucie Koldová & Dan Yeffet) and the implementation of the Diva Solo line of park benches, including a variant with ergonomic modifications for seniors, and the design of the Nanuk litter bins (designed by David Karásek, Radek Hegmon).
