Contemporary Czech Industrial

December 2011 – January 2012

mmcité and the Jaroslav Fragner Gallery would like to jointly invite you to the exhibition Contemporary Czech Industrial. The headquarters of mmcité is included in the selection of the forty best examples of Czech contemporary industrial architecture. According to the curator of the exhibition, these structures are worthy successors to the quality and tradition of industrial architecture of the prewar period. While these structures are purely functional, their enlightened owners approached renowned architects to design the production and administrative facilities to meet the specific needs of their companies, never setting aside aesthetics. The headquarters of mmcité is no exception.
The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue that introduces readers not only to the selected buildings themselves but also to the history of industrial architecture over the past two centuries. Because even warehouses and factories can be beautiful.

The exhibition continues at the Jaroslav Fragner Gallery, located at Betlémské náměstí 5A in Prague, until 22 January 2012 and is open daily except Monday from 11 am to 7 pm.
